The route will be fully signed with the signs be HI-Viz and A3 in size with addition of Class 1 Reflective tape to illuminate the way along the entire course. It may however to wise to familiarise yourself with the general route prior to departure. Can friends and family support on route?
As we are providing back-up facilities we must insist that your supporters, friends and family do not bring any vehicles out on the route to follow as this will create congestion and will be a danger to cyclists and other road users. We are keen to encourage support at the start and finish.

For 2018 we are very please to announce that we helping to raise funds for Caister Lifeboat which is a independent Lifeboat station.
CAISTER MEN NEVER TURN BACK!
Caister Lifeboat has been saving lives at sea since 1791. Completely independent, we depend entirely on public donations to help us provide safety and rescue services to the countless vessels, crews and beach visitors to this area of the East Coast. Scroll down to discover more about our vessels, crew, museum, latest news and rescues.
SAVING LIVES SINCE 1791
Caister Lifeboat is an independent charity and was Britain’s first independent lifeboat service. It’s role is, and always has been, to save lives at sea and along the coastline of Norfolk and Suffolk.
The Caister Lifeboat charity is made up of a board of eight trustee directors, an operational crew and a team of volunteers who help run our office function, on-site shop, cafe and museum. None of our team is paid, so every penny of donations can be used to support our lifesaving work.
The volunteers and directors are responsible for the day-to-day and long-term planning of Caister Lifeboat. That means ensuring the boats and equipment is correctly maintained, the crew are trained and that the bills get paid. The board of directors are also responsible for fund raising and income, which ranges from a series of events throughout the year, as well as promoting donations and legacies.
The board of directors meets monthly, with another monthly meeting for our 38 members, which is made up of current and past crew. Through the discussions at these meetings, the charity’s policies, aims and ambitions are set out, as well as decisions on investment in lifesaving equipment, training and fund raising.
The charity has been supported and visited by HRH Duke of Edinburgh, HRH Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra. In 2012, the year of the diamond jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, Caister Lifeboat was invited to take part in the Pageant on the Thames, where the charity was presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service - the equivalent of an MBE.
Please help us by giving what you can: There is a optional donation button and checkout where you can give multiple of £5.00. Caister Lifeboat will also have their cafe open from 1am on the Sunday morning serving up hot / cold food and drinks.
CHASE THE RISING SUN - NIGHT SPORTIVE
You have spoken and we have listened. It's back = point to point...!
This we will be starting at Hunstanton and finishing at the picture perfect setting of Caister Lifeboat Station.
You will be setting off from Hunstanton Cliff Car Park with the sun setting in the background. You will head off into the night sky on your chosen distance of either 70 miles or 100 miles.
Both routes will meander along the coast road to the route split where the 100 miler will head inland for a small loop before returning back to the coast road heading to Cromer for the half way feed-zone. The 70 milers will continue along the coast road to the feed-zone at Cromer.
In Cromer you will find our fully stocked feed-zone. Free energy drink, Energy snacks, fig rolls, bannans, jaffa cakes just to name a few. We provide ourselves on providing a great and fully stocked feed-zone.
Once you have topped up for your onward journey, the 70 milers will tackle the coast road round to the finish at Caister. The 100 milers will head inland from Cromer for a short loop before returning to the coast to watch the sun starting to rise as you make your way to Caister for the finish.
We will not be organising transport from Caister to Hunstanton or vice versa, it is up to the rider to arrange all their own transport needs.
Hunstanton Cliff Carpark, is free from 6pm till 8am Please pay at machine before or after this time.
