1: We try to Email out registration packs 7 days before the event, we will also post the registration information online 7 days before the event.
2: The Participant is fully responsible for their actions when riding on the public highway, under no circumstances will Cycle Sportives UK accept any responsibility for their actions.
3: The Participants accept that these events are not races and all results if any will be published in alphabetical order and in PDF format to stop the results being changed.
4: Each participant upon signing the registration / entry form accepts that they are physical fit and mentally capable of riding the distance they have paid to enter. If participant decide to change the length and route of the ride it is then all consequences are theirs, all results will be void for these participants.
5: The Event Registration Form must be completed by a person aged 18 years or over. Evidence of age may be requested. Participants under the age of 18 years will be allowed to participate in the event with the consent of their parent or legal guardian who must sign the Event Registration Form on behalf of the under age rider. Signing is also an acceptance for the actions and consequences of the underage rider. Under 16’s need to be accompanied at all times by an adult who is responsible for them.
6: You must obey all Highway Code rules. You are requested to ride in single file where appropriate and no more than 2 abreast at any time. Please be aware of your fellow cyclists and any other traffic. Please always indicate your intention to stop or change direction. All cyclists must adhere to and obey the Highway Code, local By laws and laws of England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland where applicable and extend all reasonable courtesy to other road and off road users.
7: All Participants will wear a helmets at all times, if a participant is found not to be wearing a helmet they will be disqualified from the event and all photos. Timing and goodies bags will not be available for the participant.
8: All Participants will make sure that their bike is 100% road worthy, There will be mechanical support on the ride but this is for minor mechanical, If a new tyre or chain is needed, there will be charges.
9: Each Participant will obey the highway code at all times, if found to be in breach of these rules the participant will removed from all results, photos and goodie bags.
10: Cycle Sportives UK reserve the right to amend the route at any point or to shorten the route; Participants are not entitled to a refund.
11:CSUK reserve the right to amend our entry fees at any point without prior notice or warning, if we feel that the market dictates the need to do so.
12: Each participant will be fully responsible for any fees or costs incurred or arising from an accident either involving or caused by the rider. This includes, but is not exclusive to, fees from Police, Air Ambulance, Fire and Rescue and the Ambulance service in and outside the UK . If the situation arises that you are not capable of making the decision to call the emergency services, the rider agrees that a member of Cycle Sportives UK or a member of the public may call for them. In this situation, the rider still accepts the costs and consequences of such actions.
13: Cycle Sportives UK reserves the right to cancel any event, due to extreme weather conditions. In such an event, each participants entry with be automatically moved to the rescheduled event. If a Participant cannot make this event, they can carry their entry to another event of a equal or lower ticket value within the following 6 month period. No refunds will be issued.
14: Event entry fees cannot be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.
15: The participants agree to return or call the event centre before the close of the and report to a member of staff. Not doing so will mean that a search may be organised and the subsequent cost will be billed to the rider. Each participant agrees to assign and grant the right and permission for Cycle Sportives UK to use and publish any photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant on any Cycle Sportives UK activity. The participant hereby releases Cycle Sportives UK from any and all liability from such use and promotion. The participant hereby authorises the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs/film/video tapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of Cycle Sportives UK . The participant specifically waives any right to any compensation they may have for appearing in any of the photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant at a Cycle Sportives UK.
16: During the event there will be warning signs at appropriate points on the trails or roads. Absence of these signs does not signal there are no dangers approaching and it is the individual rider’s responsibility to make a decision regarding whether to ride a section or not. The marking of the route does not necessarily indicate that the trail or road is rideable and the participant is deemed to make their own decision about whether to proceed on bike, foot or not at all.
17: Your entry fee pays only for the safe running of the ride / event. You do not need to raise money for our charities but please give generously if you can! You are very welcome to use our events to raise money for your own charity if you have one or just ride for fun. We will be there to support you what ever you do.
18. CSUK will provide emergency and mechanical support to riders who get into difficulty or trouble on course, but are not liable and accept no responsibility for damage incurred to riders bikes or other equipment in any attempt made to assist with repairs etc..
19. Tribars / time trial bars can be fitted to bikes but the rider will not use these bars under any circumstances when riding a Cycle Sportives UK event.
